The Freshmen Experience: A Whole New World

The freshmen class share their experiences of preseason and the first week of classes. They looked towards their upperclassmen for guidance when balancing studies and sport. As a group, the young players look forward to the year to fully begin.

As freshman we were very nervous about coming to our first college pre-season. However, the team and coaches were very welcoming, and we felt like we were apart of the team right away. Though the practices were tough at times, it was from the help of the upperclassmen that we were able to make it through each day. Pre-season was a great experience for us because we really bonded with the girls and became a family.

As pre-season was coming to an end we were all very anxious about our first week of classes. We got tours around campus from the upperclassman so we would know where we were going on that early Monday morning. Classes ended up not being that bad, so were all very relieved and excited for the soccer season to start and to have a great first year at ESU!

Classes Begin

After the first day of classes, some of the players took time to cheer on their fellow Warriors at the men's soccer scrimmage.

MELISSA MYERS: THE SARCASTIC ONE
SARAH ROTHROCK- THE MOTHERLY ONE
LINDA MARTINE- THE UNPREDICTABLE ONE
