Lights! Camera! Action!

The ESU Women's Soccer team took the stage the other night and vounteered their time during the ESU annual auction. All the money raised by the auction goes to grant-in-aid for athletic scholarships. The players took the phone calls coming in for all bids.

Game to Remember

The team took the field on Saturday afternoon against Bloomsburg University in the most unexpected weather conditions. The Warriors battled in a few inches of snow and blistering winds

Shut Out and Senior Night!

The Warriors celebrated the senior class's soccer careers last night at their last home game against Mercyhurst. Battling on the turf, the team won 3-0 with goals scored by Cree Julian (Junior), Kerri McClay (Sophomore), and Megan Keiser (Senior).

The team will take on Bloomsburg University away for the last PSAC game on Saturday night.






Seniors who were honored are: Sarah Rothrock, Devon Miniscalco, Linda Martine, Melissa Myers, Megan Keiser, and Elva Composto.

SWEET HOME EAST STROUDSBURG!

The Warriors defeated Charleston this afternoon 4-0. Junior Ashley McKenna scored two of the four goals in today's match with additional goals from fellow junior captain, Carly Collins and sophomore, Kaitlyn Hogue.








Brit Wagner had another shut out with assistance from freshman midfielder, Courtney Keller. According to the judges from the previous practice, Courtney is ESU's Next Top Goalkeeper!

Who are ya?!?! Kaitlyn "Hogie" Hogue

As an ESU Warrior, sophomore, Kaitlyn Hogue has big dreams and big goals for her four years on campus as a student athlete. She studies exercise science and strives to be a cardiac rehabilitationist when she completes her degree. Another life goal of hers is to be part of a flash mob!



Kaitlyn is taking anatomy, chemistry, and exercise physiology this fall. "For the most part I learn about the body and the processes of how bones grow and their functions. I enjoy lab the most because it's challenging and gives me hands on experience that you do not get in every day lecture." Kaitlyn not only has big dreams, but also has a big heart when playing on the field. Standing tall at 5'1", she is fearless in challenging the competition and herself in the classroom.

ESU's Next Top Goalkeeper!

The Warriors practiced this crisp Saturday morning to prepare for their match against Charleston. The field players took part in a shooting exercise transitioning in goal while the keepers took a break away from the action.







Senior Melissa Myers, keeper coach, Chris Dugan, sophomores Brit Wagner and Nicki Keiser, and International Canadian player, Ashley Tait judge the teams goalkeeping ability for ESU's Next Top Goalkeeper.

Junior Marissa Spilter had the game winning goal on Tuesday night against Shippensburg. The team will face off on Sunday against Charleston.

"Think Pink" Night is a WIN, WIN!




At home last night, the Warriors battled against Mansfield and won 1-0 with an early goal in the second half by Kerri McClay. Prior to the match, the team wore their "Think Pink" shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and also sold ribbons as a fundraiser for the fight against cancer. It was a WIN, WIN night for the Warriors.








Besides her seventh career goal, Kerri took home a mark of her dedication with a ball imprint on her trachea. The Warriors will take on Shippensburg University on Tuesday night at home.

PLAYING IN PINK!


During the month of October, the Warriors will be trading in their red for the color pink. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team will sport pink t-shirts to support all those who have been affected by breast cancer and the race for the cure.

Warriors Win 2-1 Over Mercy College


Wednesday evening, the Warriors beat Mercy College 2-1. The goals were lead by the upperclassmen, Carly Collins (Junior), and Megan Keiser, (Senior). Carly scored in the first half on a penalty kick, and Megan put the Warriors ahead in the second with a shot from the outside. The Warriors are now 4-3-1 for the season, and face California away on Saturday afternoon.

Warriors Tie West Chester



On Wednesday, the Warriors competed against the University of West Chester and tied 2-2. Junior, Cree Julian, and sophomore, Kerri McClay scored the two goals of the match. And sophomore goalkeeper, Brittain Wagner, had a total of 11 saves for the day.




The Warriors will be on the road this weekend again Millersville on Saturday.
